Abstract
In early 2019, the International Myopia Institute, a global body of eye care practitioners and vision scientists, published a series of white papers summarising and critiquing the current evidence concerning a wide range of aspects of myopia including its classification, aetiology and potential interventions. This presentation will focus on the key aspects of these white papers for the optometrist in clinical practice; controlling myopia onset and progression, clinical guidelines, and ethical considerations.
