「睛」明護眼計劃
Care for Your Eyes Program
新冠病毒疫情疫反覆，阻礙有眼疾需要弱勢群體尋求眼科服務，延遲緊急和基本治療。
配合完善及專業儀器，為社會上有需要人士提供眼科服務。
是次活動的地點是：深水埗榮昌邨榮傑樓地下 (嗇色園可健耆英地區中心)
該社會項目由「香港醫藥援助會」主辦，由「香港光學會」協辦，負責提供專業眼睛健康初步檢查及視力篩選等服務，更慶悅得到 「滙豐香港社區夥伴計劃」 的支持。
第三輪活動在 2022年6月25日（星期六）舉行。
今日一共檢查了 53 名深水埗區居民，當中約72% 沒有由眼科醫生跟進。
接近 89% 是長者， 約有 96% 視力不達標準，大多患有白內障約34%。
今日建議了 90% 參加者約見視光師作進一步視力檢查，約45%參加者轉介給眼科醫生跟進。

Speaker Profile
Professor Carly Lam
Carly bio
Professor Lam has spent most of her teaching career at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has a long-standing research interest in myopia and binocular vision. She is a member and advisor of the Hong Kong Society of Professional Optometrists, a member of the College of Optometrists (UK) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometrists. She is serving as the President of the Asia Pacific Council of Optometry (APCO) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the World Council of Optometry (WCO). She is also currently an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences at the University of Waterloo, Canada. She and her research team has won several awards including the OPO Bernard Gilmartin Award from the College of Optometrists in UK, the Grand Prix of the 46th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva 2018, the SILMO d'Or Award (Vision) at SILMO optical fair in France in 2020 for the DIMS lens invention and the Gold Medal and a special grand prize at the 39th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva in 2011 for the invention of the DISC lens.
