Description

Presented by, Dr. Cathy Stern, OD, FCOVD, FCSO, FNORA A behavioral and Neuro Optometrist near Boston in the USA. Her practice has been devoted solely to vision therapy, myopia control and vision rehabilitation. She is currently a consultant optometrist at Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children, Senior Advisor for Envision Research Institute for people with visual impairment, Research director and Trustee of the College of Syntonic Optometry (CSO), Treasurer of the Optometric Extension Program Foundation (OEPF) and a member of the Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA) Fellowship Committee. She teaches optometrists worldwide and is passionate about vision therapy, vision rehabilitation, optometric phototherapy, sports vision and the use of assistive technology. Dr. Stern believes the eyes and vision are key players in prevention, enhancement, and rehabilitation for lifelong success.

Asia Optometric Management Academy (AOMA), in-partnership with Fudan University's Eye and ENT Hospital in Shanghai, China, will be organizing a forum on 'Frontier in Vision Science Summit 2024-Myopia Research. The summit will feature the frontier and most cutting-edge exploratory theories and new technologies in the vision science and myopia management, exploring the latest scientific research directions and future development trends. It will be gathering the global and China KOLS, Asia Pacific practitioners and professional media.

This Forum will be supported by invited international top speakers in different disciplines in vision science and myopia research from local and overseas, covering topics ranging from an overview of epidemiology perspective on global myopia burden, visual development, myopia defocus, to molecular research in myopia, new direction and technologies in myopia control, new insights into emmetropization and mechanism of myopia control, and Al-assisted myopia control interventions.
