Health Care Voucher Scheme (HCVS) –
Timely Creation of eHealth (Subsidies) Accounts or Confirmation of Their Creation

Given the current Territory-wide Identity Card Replacement Exercise, particulars of an elderly person shown on his/ her Hong Kong Identity Card (HKIC) such as its date of issue will be updated upon the replacement of the elderly person’s existing HKIC. If the elderly person’s particulars inputted in the eHealth System (Subsidies) for creation of an eHealth (Subsidies) Account become outdated due to, for example, subsequent replacement of HKIC, you will then be required to update the relevant particulars before the account can be validated. Unless the account is validated, the voucher claim(s) related to that account will not be processed and reimbursed by the Government under the existing HCVS Agreement.

In view of the above, if you are requested to create an eHealth (Subsidies) Account for an elderly person, please create the account or confirm its creation which is done by your staff in the eHealth System (Subsidies) as soon as possible so that the account validation process can be initiated timely. Your attention is drawn that the delay in doing so may give rise to the need for subsequent update of the relevant account information.

由於全港市民換領身份證計劃正在進行中,長者的香港身份證上的資料(例如簽發日期)會隨換領身份證而更新。在醫健通(資助)系統輸入用以開設醫健通(資助)戶口的資料如已過時(例如因換領身份證),你便須更新有關資料讓該戶口得以核實。根據現行的醫療券計劃協議,除非有關戶口已經核實,否則政府不會處理及付還與該戶口有關的醫療券申報。

有見及此,如有長者要求你替他/她開設醫健通(資助)戶口,請你盡快在醫健通(資助)系統替長者開設戶口,或確認由你的員工替長者所開設的戶口,以迅速啓動戶口核實程序。請注意,延誤開設戶口或會引致日後需更新有關戶口的資料。
