As we celebrate this significant day dedicated to our profession, I am delighted to reach out to each of you on behalf of the Asia Pacific Council of Optometry (APCO). It is with great pleasure that I extend warm wishes to you and your esteemed colleagues on this occasion.
World Optometry Day serves as a reminder of the vital role optometrists play in ensuring optimal vision health and well-being for individuals worldwide. It is a day to celebrate our achievements, reaffirm our commitment to excellence, and look forward to new opportunities for growth and collaboration in our field.
At APCO, we are dedicated to fostering closer connections and collaboration among all our country members. As we mark this special day, I am excited to share some recent updates from APCO that aim to strengthen our bond and support your professional endeavors:
Release of Half-Yearly E-Newsletter: Starting July 2024, APCO will launch a half-yearly e-newsletter that will highlight the activities and events organized by our country members locally through their associations/institutes. This newsletter will serve as a platform to showcase the diverse initiatives and accomplishments of our members, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration within our community.
Combining Your Events with APCO: We encourage our members to inform the APCO Secretariat in advance about any upcoming events, whether online or offline. By collaborating with APCO, you can benefit from greater visibility and promotion of your events through our social media platforms. Additionally, we are committed to providing support, including a personalized video message from myself, highlighting the conference's key highlights and other assistance as needed. We can also provide high resolution APCO logo for promotion based on the protentional and involvement of the event.
Upcoming Online Meeting: In the spirit of strengthening our connections, APCO will soon conduct an online meeting with all country members. This meeting will provide an opportunity for us to come together, exchange ideas, and discuss ways to further our collective goals in advancing the field of optometry. Details regarding the online meeting will be shared with you soon.
