香港光學會第三十三屆董事會已於二○一九年一月九日成立，但在之前發生一件不愉快事件， 希望各會員、業界同業等作為借鏡。
在二○一八年十二月十七日晚上約九時，盧迪富先生連同周嘉恩小姐及兩名現屆董事等相約謝耀先生，到新世紀廣場以「換屆議程講解和商量職務安排」為商議理由，會議文件「香港光學會董事會32屆換屆至33屆工作清單」當中內容錯漏，無中生有。盧迪富先生實則表示：他（盧迪富先生）做會長比謝耀先生好，問謝耀先生會否退下來?
謝耀先生表示：他（謝耀先生）是由會員選出來的，堅決不退下來。
彼此對話針鋒相對，最後不歡而散。
隨後，二○一九年一月九日晚上約八時，第三十三屆董事會進行首次會議，當晚出席董事有二十人，謝耀先生把二○一八年十二月十七日晚上被「迫宮」事件向眾董事和盤托出，盧迪富先生亦承認此事。
現在香港光學會第三十三屆董事會已經成立，董事會特此聲明，歷屆至今董事會選舉以公平、公正、高透明度下進行，不容許有絲毫作弊的嫌疑，同時絕對尊重會員的選舉結果， 會長是以高票當選，絕不接受任何人士以威脅手段奪取會員的意願。
董事會特此表明立場，對盧迪富先生及一與等所作的「迫宮」行為，董事會決不認同及不接受。
