World Optometry Day, held annually on March 23, 
celebrates optometry's vital role in global health while highlighting how optometrists worldwide are expanding access to eye care as a fundamental 

In response to WCO World Optometry Week 2026
Optometrists will continue to uphold their mission of safeguarding the eye health of every citizen. They will embody the slogan of the World Council of Optometry: 
A SHARED VISION: “COLLABORATION IN GLOBAL EYE CARE” 
Bright Eyes for All: Building Vision Together ensuring that every citizen can see more clearly and further into the future.
