鑑於最新疫情發展，政府於周五（2022年1月7日）開始於社區實施各項防疫及限聚措施，以控制Omicron病毒在社區爆發。
董事會經過慎重考慮，為確保會員及工作人員的健康安全， 也是學會的社會責任，守護並配合政府的抗疫工作。
本會決定 取消 2022年1月13日，在香港生產力促進局舉辦的實體學術持續進修講座及現場工作坊，但保留網上講座，如期在1月13日，7:00pm舉行，費用全免，出席後回答問題達70%或以上可獲得2小時的電子出席證書。歡迎會員於指定網站登記。

在過去兩年，新冠肺炎病毒、Delta 和Omicron變異病毒株，讓香港正可能面臨第五波疫情難關。抗病毒和抗細菌產品已是現今生活首要考慮因素。眼鏡被視為「高接觸率表面」，容易被病毒和細菌污染，病毒更可以在鏡片表面存活很長時間。這個演講將會分享眼睛防護的市場需要，市場上防細菌和防病毒鏡片，技術和運作原理。
In the past two years, COVID-19, Delta and Omicron have made Hong Kong face the fifth wave of epidemics. Anti-virus and anti-bacterial products are now the primary considerations in life. Spectacles are regarded as a "high touch surface" and are easily contaminated by viruses and bacteria. Viruses can even survive on the surface of the lenses for a long time. This presentation will share the market needs of eye protection, anti-bacterial and anti-virus lenses on the market, technology and working principles.

人類一直追求清晰舒適視覺，這驅使過去2,000年的光學工具、設計和技術的發展和演變。時至今日，光學設計和發展漸漸成熟，我們對視覺的要求越來越高，然而單光鏡片的性能和設計一直被忽視，令清晰光學和輕薄鏡片只能兩者擇其一。為提升單光鏡片的表現性能，中心定位量必不可少，但卻常常被忽視。這次演講將會分享單光鏡片的最新設計和光學技術和如何為大眾消費者帶來益處，同時會設有中心定位測量示範和工作坊，以展示其重要性。
Humans have always pursued clear and comfortable vision, which has driven the development and evolution of optical tools, designs and technologies over the past 2,000 years. Today, optical design and development have gradually matured, and our vision requirements have become higher and higher. However, the performance and design of single vision lenses have been neglected, making clear optics and thin and light lenses to choose one. In order to improve the performance of single vision lenses, the amount of center positioning is essential, but it is often overlooked. This lecture will share the latest design and optical technology of single vision lens and how it can bring benefits to mass consumers. At the same time, there will be a center positioning measurement demonstration and workshop to demonstrate its importance.
