Biography
Dr. Ka Yin Chan is Postdoctoral Fellow of the Centre for Eye and Vision Research and parttime instructor and visiting clinical associate at PolyU. He graduated from PolyU with BSc in Optometry and PhD degrees. He was awarded AAO Edward Goodlaw Travel Fellowship and BCLA Da Vinci Award in 2012 and 2013. After graduation, he worked at contact lens company on professional education and participated a number of clinical trials on beauty contact lenses, soft myopia control contact lenses and ortho-k. He completed the Certificates in the Management of Dry Eye and Contact Lens Retention and in the Principles of Myopia Management, issued by BCLA in 2019 and 2021. He is now a Fellow of American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), British Contact Lens Association (FBCLA) and International Association of Contact Lens Educators (FIACLE).
